Opis projekta

Temeljem provedenih anketa uočeno je da studentima po završetku školovanja nedostaju ključna praktična znanja. Prema anketi HKIG-a iz 2012. Odnos obrazovanja i prakse ovlaštenih inženjera, 48% ispitanika smatra da je dobilo puno teorijskog znanja na studiju, čak 70% smatra da je dobilo malo praktičnih iskustava i znanja, 67% smatra da u praksi koriste znanja stečena studiranjem vrlo malo, 68% smatra da HKIG treba utjecati na sadržaj stud. programa (SP) dipl. studija, 88% smatra da je mladom inženjeru potrebno zabrinjavajuće 3 god. i više za postizanje prihvatljive razine znanja za rad kao ovlašteni inž. Slični rezultati dobiveni su anketom iz 2015., projekt GrAFOS-a: Razvoj i primjena HKO-a u području visokog obrazovanja građ. inž. Poslodavci i studenti dali su najmanje ocjene pitanjima o praktičnim znanjima koje su dobili na studiju. Rješenje problema nedostatka praktičnih znanja leži u novim nastavnim metodama radeći na kompleksnim praktičnim zadacima kroz dulji vremenski period (2 semestra min.). Ova metoda zove se Projektna nastava (Project Based Learning – PBL) i predstavlja najmoderniji način nastave. Prema podacima WoSCC, do 2000. objavljeno je 15 radova o PBL-u, a danas iznosi 2358, citiranih 9701 puta što pokazuje ogroman interes akademske zajednice. Kroz PBL studenti se u malim grupama fokusiraju na rješenje praktičnog zadatka kroz kritičko razmišljanje, istraživanje, primjenu teorijskog znanja i donošenje odluka kroz suradnju. Projekt doprinosi: Strategiji Europa2020, prioritet: pametan rast-razvoj gospod. temeljen na znanju i inovaciji jer uključuje izradu Preporuke o potrebama poslodavaca i tržišta rada (Preporuka 1) i izmjenu informacija s ciljem boljeg utjecaja znanosti na gospodarski i održivi rast svih članica EU; Bolonjskoj deklaraciji, prioritet: povećanje konkurentnosti i kvalitete EU visokog obrazovanja u odnosu na ostale razvijene zemlje uvođenjem suvremenog SP-a i cilju promicanja mobilnosti nastavnika i studenata; Strategiji pametne specijalizacije, viziji RH prepoznate kao gospodarstvo temeljeno na znanju, poticanju kreativnosti i inovacija na svim razinama i cilju povećanja kapaciteta znanstvenoistraživačkog (ZI) sektora za provedbu vrhunskih istraživanja usklađenih s potrebama gospodarstva jer Projekt uvažava Preporuku 1 usklađenu s novim SP-om i cilju partnerski rad na rješavanju društvenih izazova jer uključuje partnere iz različitih sfera društva; Strategiji obrazovanja, zn. i tehnologije, cilj: stvaranje uvjeta za istraživanje i inovacije usmjerenih na izvrsnost u području zn., ind. vodstva i društvenih izazova i ubrzanju promjena u sustavu visokog obrazovanja i znanosti (zn) i stvaranju konkurentnih sveučilišta putem modernog SP-a i umrežavanjem ZI aktivnosti na svjetskoj razini (live web stream); Strateškom programu zn. istraživanja GrAFOS-a, misija: doprinos društvu unapređivanjem znanja kroz obrazovanje studenata na svim razinama studija i provođenju zn. i teh. istraživanja u polju građevinarstva kroz stvaranje suvremenog SP-a te suradnju s obrazovnim ustanovama i stručnjacima putem partnerstva. Ciljne skupine: ISCED 1-4: 4 preddipl. studenta (odabir vrši studentski zbor od redovnih studenata 3. g. s prosjekom ocjena min. 3,5); 20 dipl. studenata (4x5, odabir će izvršiti SGFOS - isti uvjeti, a 2 grupe odabire stud. zbor, smjer nosive konstrukcije), 3 nenast. osoblja (1 laborant i 2 djelatnice iz ureda za studente, odabir laboranta - iskusan u provođenju lab. vježbi i terenskih ispitivanja; odabir admin. osobe - izravan rad sa studentima); ISCED 5-8: 35 nast. osoblja (nastavnici u zn.-nast. zvanju s područja teh. mehanike i nosivih konstrukcija i nastavnici s pratećih područja); 2 nenast. osoblja (1 str. suradnik u zn. sa znanjima iz informatike i programiranja i voditeljica ureda za studente s razinom znanja engl. min. A2, CEF), 4 studenta poslijedipl. studija (odabir od najuspješnijih studenata s min. položenih 6 ispita). Krajnji korisnici: šira javnost, poslodavci, nac. i internac. zn. zajednica. Koristi rezultata za ciljne skupine: ISCED1-4: doprinijeti poboljšanju kvalitete, relevantnosti i mogućnosti studiranja u RH za preddipl. i dipl. studente izradom suvremenog kurikuluma; promo-materijali/promidžbene mjere - doprinijeti popularnosti institucije, SP-u i privlačenju kvalitetnijih studenata; tečajevima stranog jezika unaprijediti će se znanje, unaprijeđena znanja o PBL-u predavanjima, Pilot program stjecanja praktičnih inž. znanja i osposobljenosti za rješavanje složenih inž. problema; ISCED 5-8: nast. osoblje - povećanje kompetencija za održavanje internac. nastave, stjecanje novih znanja, unaprjeđenje postojećih pristupa u nastavi: radionice o stručnom engl., predavanja o projektnoj nastavi, nova oprema, internac. promocija istraživanja i mobilnosti; nenast. osoblje - povećanje kompetencija i stjecanje znanja pomoću radionica/predavanja/novih IT sustava/mobilnosti, unaprjeđenje komunikacija sa stranim studentima i kompetencije za daljnje prijavljivanje projekata.

Based on the surveys, it has been observed that students lack key practical knowledge after graduation. According to a 2012 Croatian Chamber of Civil Engineers (HKIG) survey, the ratio of education and practice of authorized engineers, 48% of respondents believe that they have gained a lot of theoretical knowledge in the study, as much as 70% believe that have received very little practical experience and knowledge, 67% think that they use very little in their practice, 68% think HKIG should be influenced to the content of the study program (SP) graduate study, 88% think a young engineer needs a worrying 3 yrs. and more for getting acceptable knowledge levels to work as a certified engineer. Similar results were obtained from the 2015 survey, GrAFOS project: Development and application of CROQF in the area higher education eng. Employers and students gave the least marks to questions about the practical knowledge they received in their studies. The solution to the problem of lack of practical knowledge lies in new teaching methods, working on complex practical tasks over a long period of time (2 semesters min.). This method is called Project Based Learning (PBL) and is the most modern way of teaching. According to the data WoSCC, 15 papers on PBL have been published by 2000, and today there are 2358, cited 9701 times which shows the huge interest of the academic community. Through PBL students in small groups focus on solving a practical problem through critical thinking, research, application of theoretical knowledge and decision making through collaboration. The project contributes to: Europe2020 Strategy, priority: smart growth-development, knowledge-based and innovation as it involves creation of a Recommendation on Employer and Labor Market Needs (Recommendation 1) and the modification of information for better impact science on the economic and sustainable growth of all EU member states; Bologna Declaration, Priority: Increasing EU High Competitiveness and Quality education in relation to other developed countries by introducing a modern SP and aiming to promote teacher and student mobility; Strategy smart specializations, recognized by the vision of the Republic of Croatia as an economy based on knowledge, stimulating creativity and innovation at all levels and goals enhancing the capacity of the research sector to conduct cutting edge research aligned with the needs of the economy since the Project appreciates Recommendation 1 in line with the new SP and aims to work together to tackle societal challenges by involving partners from different spheres societies; Education Strategy, science and technology, objective: to create the conditions for excellence in research and innovation in the field of science, ind. leadership and societal challenges and accelerating change in the higher education and science system and creating competitive universities through a modern SP and world-class networking of science and research activities (live web stream); Strategic Program Knowledge GrAFOS research, mission: Contribution to society by enhancing knowledge through the education of students at all levels of study and conducting knowledge in scientific and tech. field research of civil engineering through the creation of a modern SP and collaboration with educational institutions and professionals through partnerships. Target groups: ISCED 1-4: 4 undergraduate students (the selection is made by a student body from full-time students in Year 3 with an average grade of min. 3.5); 20 grad. students (4x5, will choose to execute SGFOS - same conditions and 2 groups choose stud. assembly, bearing structure direction), 3 non-teaching staff (1 laboratory assistant and 2 staff members from the office for students, choice of laboratory assistant - experienced in conducting lab. exercises and field tests; choosing admin. persons - direct work with students); ISCED 5-8: 35 teaching staff (professors in technical and mechanical engineering and load-bearing structures and teachers in related fields); 2 non-teaching staff (1 IT knowledge and Head of Office for Students with Minimum Level of A2, CEF), 4 students postgraduate study (selection from the most successful students with min. passed 6 exams). End-users: the general public, employers, national and international scientists community. Benefits of results for target groups: ISCED1-4: Contribute to improving the quality, relevance and study opportunities of the Republic of Croatia for undergraduate and grad. students by designing a modern curriculum; promotional materials / promotional measures - contribute to the popularity of the institution, the SP and attracting higher quality students; foreign language courses will enhance knowledge, advanced knowledge of PBL lectures, Pilot program acquisition of practical engineering. knowledge and ability to handle complex engineering. problems; ISCED 5-8: teaching staff - increase competencies for maintenance international teaching, acquiring new knowledge, improving existing approaches in teaching: workshops on professional engl., lectures on project teaching, new equipment, intern. promotion of research and mobility; non-teaching staff - enhancing competencies and gaining knowledge through workshops / lectures / new IT systems / mobility, improvement of communication with foreign students and competencies for further project submissions.
